Lampropeltis getula floridana, commonly known as the Florida king snake is a nonvenomous snake native to the southern parts of Florida.
It is among the largest of the king snake subspecies with adults reaching 3.5 to 6 feet in length. Florida kings make great hardy pets and are relatively easy to care for in captivity.-
